Regarding the after school program call 541-205-3054.
The Hope Community Center is now enrolling students, ages 9 to 12 years of age, in its free, safe, fun after-school program. The program is directed by an Oregon certified teacher and an assistant who is working on her Master's Degree in Education, their salaries are being paid by a Safe School/Healthy Students Grant with the goal of keeping the children safe in the after-school hours.
All volunteers are required to have a background check. Monday through Friday the children can attend from 2:30 to 6:00 PM until June 8, 2011. The Center is closed during school holidays due to budget constraints.
Included in the after-school program are one-on-one homework help and mentoring, self-esteem building programs, motivational speakers, craft projects, games played on the various recreational equipment we have, and outdoor play time. The children also receive healthy snacks.
To enroll your child, please call the Center at 541-205-3054 or stop by the Center located at 2408 Homedale, between the hours of 2:30 and 6:00 PM to fill out an enrollment form.
